The campus blends modern laboratory facilities with historic buildings in a spacious, beautifully landscaped setting. The campus offers the companies excellent amenities: fully-equipped meeting rooms and conferencing facilities, bar, coffee shop, a sports and social club, gym, tennis court and football pitch. A large component of the estate grounds including the wood, grass, grazing meadows and park land are opened for both the campus and the wider community to walk through and use. Role SummaryYou will be part of the operational team helping to deliver a variety of services across the campus to our customers. Approximately half of the working time will be focused on helping with day-to-day waste collections from Campus waste compounds and delivery of consumables. The rest of the time will be split across other services to our tenants, housekeeping of the Campus open areas, portering and delivery of other tasks associated with the efficient running of the Campus. These are set out in more detail belowWorking hours37 hours per week:• Monday - Thursday 7.00 – 15.00 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break (7.5 h) • Friday 7.00 - 14.30 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break (7.0 h) Responsibilities • Waste Management activitieso Daily collections, weighing and bulking up of various waste streams including clinical waste, Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), dry mixed recycling, general waste, etc. o Deliveries of waste consumables to campus customerso Telehandler operations in the yard o Litter picking and housekeeping tasks • Campus safety checks and procedures (examples are shown below)o Fire alarm testing o Water systems flushing • Portering tasks (examples are shown below)o Delivery of items around the campuso Collection and delivery of post across the campus• Winter time clearing of Campus grounds to include snow clearing and gritting on campus paths, roads and car parks.This list is not exhaustive, and the successful candidate would be expected to undertake reasonable additional duties in support of the site operations as and when required.
