The Babraham Research Campus Vision & Future Ambition

Our vision is to be one of the best places in the world for discovery bioscience research and innovation; a leading sustainable ecosystem to start, nurture, scale and grow bioscience business.

With this in mind, the Campus partners (The Babraham Institute, BBSRC, and Babraham Research Campus Ltd, formerly Babraham Bioscience Technologies Ltd (BBT)) recently undertook a strategic review of the Campus and the opportunity for its future development. This review is built on evidence and understanding of the Campus’ success and existing strengths as identified in the Campus Impact Report. As a distinct co-location of academic research and commercial bioscience enterprise the Campus already plays a pivotal role in the Cambridge life science ecosystem, supporting excellent discovery bioscience, and the start-up and scale-up of entrepreneurial business.

The refreshed strategy sets the course for the continued development of the Campus. The strategic objectives identified aim to deliver a highly connected, sustainable and dynamic ecosystem that creates new discoveries, therapeutics, jobs and growth to support the UK economy.
