Senior Research Associate - Analytical Team

We are seeking a highly motivated wet-lab based senior RA with experience in protein analytics to join our exciting pre-clinical development programs. The candidate will work in a team environment together with protein biochemist and analytical scientist. The successful candidate will be involved in optimising and performing biochemical and biophysical characterisation of protein using U-HPLC, DLS, LC-MS and other assay to rank their developability.

Essential skills

• Master degree in a relevant area (e.g. biochemistry or relevant protein science discipline with experience in experimental research)

• Expert in using and maintaining U-HPLC systems (i.e. HSEC, HSCX and HIC)

• Expert in using and maintaining LC-MS system and methods (i.e. intact mass, peptide mapping and glycan analyses)

• The ability to evaluate, troubleshoot and develop methodologies to achieve desired goals

• Proactive attitude and drive

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task

• Organised and good time management

Desirable skills

• Experience with designing molecular cloning strategy

• Experience with standard TC activities (maintaining mammalian cell lines, transient and stable transfections)

• Experience with protein purification

• Experience with Python scripting would be an advantage

• Worked with DLS/DSF
