IMPORTANT CHANGES TO CLINICAL WASTE
BRCL has undergone a review of its current clinical waste streams and wishes to make some improvements going forward that will better categorise clinical waste and will ensure that relevant waste streams can be fully tracked using campus systems.
Campus companies will need to be aware of the following changes to ensure they are compliant with both BRCL’s processes and their derogation with the Health and Safety Executive.
As a brief summary the changes will mean:
· Increased segregation of clinical waste with different bins and labelling
· Changes to Concept Reach to request bins and labels
These change will come in to effect w/c 23rd January 2023.
BRCL will present these changes in more detail with an opportunity for a questions and answers thereafter. A meeting will be held in the Kings Hedges meeting room in the Cambridge Building on 9th of January at 2pm.
We would encourage all companies who produce clinical waste to attend and request that you sign up to Event Brite so that we can cater for refreshments that will be available.
