New Building Development B960 - Archaeology Works on site 19th May to 8th July 2022

Over the next eight weeks the Cambridge Archaeological Unit (CAU) will be undertaking an archaeological investigation of the site for our new development plot (B960). The archaeological investigation forms part our planning consent conditions for the development.

The area under investigation will be excavated up to a metre deep across its whole area and it has been fenced off by CAU to prevent unauthorised access.

The spoil that is excavated will remain on site for future use but must be moved away from the area. As a result dumper trucks will be removing the spoil up to a location on the estate farm. The route for the dumper trucks is shown on the accompanying drawing. During this period we will be cleaning the roads as necessary to remove any soil and debris that may be left in their wake.
