The letter below has been circulated by Babraham Bioscience Technologies (the company that manages and develops the Campus) and the Babraham Institute. We have also made a contribution as we believe the church is an important part of the Campus. If you would like to make a donation, details are listed below.
12th April 2021
For all of us it has been an unusual year. This is certainly true for the church, which has not been able to meet in person very often, but has mastered the art of Zoom! While the church building has not been used for services it has certainly not been neglected, however, and we are very pleased to say that the new toilet and kitchenette facilities are in place and nearly completed. We look forward to inviting you to a special opening ceremony when the finishing touches have been made.
Historically all the farmers and small businesses in the village supported the church and were our friends, which is why we are writing to you. There is an official Friends of Babraham Church group which we would love you to join, and we would be pleased to mention your support in our publicity. The Friends receive a regular newsletter, meet at least once a year for a concert and Strawberry Tea in the churchyard and generally love the church. We are sending this letter to new friends as well as old, so please consider joining us.
Some have given very generously in order to make the new facilities possible, but we still have a significant shortfall, so we would like to ask whether you are able to give one last push to finish off our fundraising. Donations can be made to Babraham Parochial Church Council by bank transfer (Barclays, 20-74-05, 40048615, ref: Friends) or by cheque (post to address below). Please do get in touch via the address below if you would like a receipt or for any more information.
Wishing you every blessing
St Peter’s Babraham
